A Message from the Director
International Relations Chief
yeon-Sang Noh
EGC Director
I am surprised by each new class that arrives at Ewha. Every year I am convinced that the newest class is the best educated in language, but each succeeding class improves upon the last class. One thing that does not surprise me is the academic excellence of each class; our students are among the brightest students in Korea.
The intelligence and knowledge that the Ewha girls possess are important and impressive, however, the enthusiasm and school spirit that the Ewha girls quickly develop during their first year here are what impress me the most. I firmly attribute the annual development of such energy and fervor for the school to quality and dedication of the Ewha teachers and the nurturing yet demanding atmosphere of the school program.
As remarkable as our regular Ewha students are, the EGC students are even more remarkable in that EGC students consistently become leaders in their classes within our regular school program. The boundless energy that is exhibited by the girls in EGC despite the extra courses that they must take astounds me. Throw in the taekwondo lessons our Ewha girls take and the charity work that they do, and I feel privileged to be in charge of a program with students that can handle the rigors of receiving an education in two languages as they maintain a level of enthusiasm that is the marvel of all the school.
